The performance is based on a vertical exposure in a temperate climate. Exposures in desert and tropical climates may reduce the expected lifetime by about 50%. Exposure near heat sources (e.g. engines) and polluted environments will further reduce durability. See manufactures statements for warranties about inks and overlaminates.
This warranty does not apply to failures caused by improper processing, improper application, improper cleaning, changes in the substrate (e.g. outgassing, rusting, paint pealing), or exposures to strong and abrasive chemicals. Clean removability of adhesive is warranted for 2 years from many OEM painted surfaces. Heat and/or chemicals may be required. Removability of adhesive is warranted up to 3 years removability and may require heat and/or chemicals. Up to 30% of adhesive residue may be left behind.
For irregular and recessed areas an adhesion promoter and heat may be required. The vinyl should be stretched only minimal amounts. Fitness for use on the end application should be determined before proceeding with the application.
Mojave's family of Cast Overlaminates include 2 mil Cast Gloss Vinyl LM2GL, Luster LM2LL, Matte Clear LM2MC, 1.5 mil gloss LM1GL, 1.5 mil matte clear LM1MC overlaminates are recommended for most vehicle wrap applications.
Overlaminated graphics are not recommended for substrates with rivets and corrugations.
In the event of a warranty failure, reimbursement obligation for refurbishing shall not exceed two times the cost of the film. Reimbursement is contingent upon proof of the failure and that proper processing and application procedures were followed.
Warranty period is defined as the amount of time that has lapsed from the shipment date to the date of notification of the failure.
