  • Overlaminate: The overlaminating film can be either a high gloss or an embossed clear film with a permanent adhesive that is applied to the printed decal with a cold laminating process. The overlaminating film is UL approved for slip resistance.
  • Base Film: Carpet Graphics uses a white or clear flexible vinyl with a high performance acrylic adhesive. This film is available non-top-coated for screen-printing and top-coated for offset or flexographic printing.
  • Printing and Laminating Procedures: The white or clear vinyl base film can be printed by any required method and process (ensure that the correct film--top-coated or non-top-coated--is used). Avoid silicone-containing inks, as these may prevent a good bond between the two films. Apply the overlaminating film to the printed base film using typical cold roll laminating techniques. The rolls of the laminator must be clean and smooth to avoid air and dust entrapment. After lamination, the product can be cut to the desired shape and size with a die cutter, guillotine, scissors, etc.
  • Recommended Floor Surfaces for Application: Low Pile (Do not use on Shag or “Carved” Carpets). Compatible with most synthetic fabrics. First apply in an inconspicuous area when using on natural fibers such as wool or cotton, to ensure compatibility with adhesive. Apply Carpet Graphics only to carpets that are clean, secure, and in good condition.
  • Application Procedure: Remove the release film liner from the back of the graphic and position it on the desired location of the floor. Lift one edge of the decal. Using a squeegee with overlapping strokes, apply pressure from the middle toward the edge of the decal.

Important: Squeegee all edges and corners with firm pressure. When more than one panel is used, butt the edges together. Never overlap the decals.

After application is completed, do not vacuum the decals or the surrounding floor for 24 hours. If the edges lift at all from the floor, the decal must be removed immediately and replaced, to prevent tripping accidents.
  • Maintenance: Maintain using normal floor maintenance procedures.
  • Removal: Remove by lifting one edge and pulling at a sharp angle using short, sharp strokes until the decal is up.
  • Base film can be custom sheeted: Yes
